Reviewing games can be more difficult than apps. This is because a game can have an interesting story, but terrible gameplay, for example. You can also find games with stunning graphics, but their controls make them almost unplayable. Usually, when we have to rate these games, we tend to give them an average rate. But what if we could assign a different mark for every aspect of the game? Well, it seems that Google might have had that same idea, because some users have noticed a few changes in the Play Store lately.
It seems that Google had added a new Feature Rating, as they call it, to their game’s pages in the Play Store. This shows three new features that receive an individual rate, like controls, gameplay and graphics. As you can see in the screencaptures, they show up below the rating bars and above the highlighted reviews.
We can rate them from one to five, as the game itself
Every user that has seen this option can now rate these Features as well when submitting a new review. Instead of the two step process that we currently have, this will add three more steps. You will be asked to rate each of these aspects, as well as the usual general rate and a written review if you feel like sharing your personal experience.
This hasn’t shown up to most users, however. But Google will probably keep it in the future, so now it’s just a question of when it will be made available for everyone on the Play Store.
