In the recent rainfall of Instagram updates, today the team has announced that there will be even more options for our Stories beginning today. They come out as part of version 10.3. In this new version, Instagram has added stickers, limited holiday content and one-touch video recording. The new options give Instagram users more ways to customize their experience and have fun sharing content with others. It seems that the competition with Snapchat and other apps is motivating Instagram to fine-tune its options, and we are really glad about it! To get started, here’s a look at the stickers and the new text options.
“After you’ve taken a photo or video, you’ll see a new stickers button next to the text and drawing tools. Tap the smiley face to find customizable stickers for weather, the current time and even your location. Adding a location sticker works the same as adding location to the posts you share to feed — simply choose or search for your location. People watching your story will be able to tap the sticker to learn more about the location, but your story won’t show up on the location page itself.”

You will find the stickers button next to other options in the upper right corner. You can also choose several styles for each sticker. The updates for adding text includes the following:
“You can now add multiple text fields to any photo or video and choose left, center or right alignment for each text field. You can add as much text to your photo or video as you’d like — simply keep tapping the text button to add more.”
Then there is the holiday content that will be available over the next few weeks.
“Candy cane brush and holiday stickers: for a limited time, a festive candy cane brush and a variety of holiday-themed stickers help make any moment more fun.”
The last two options that will come out today are the one-touch video call called “Hands-free” and an option to save your last 24 hours of Stories (the saved stories will only be available for iOS at the moment).
